Chinese Proverb

Red Threads:
When a child is born, an invisible red thread reaches out from the child's spirit and connects to all important people who will enter the child's life. As the child grows, the threads shorten, bringing closer those people who are destined to be together.

It is Official

This morning we returned to the adoption office for Hunan province to finalize the adoption. We took a family photo to put on the adoption certificate. We certified the adoption by answering questions like do we like him and do we want to be his parents. We put our thumbprints and his right hand print on the paperwork. He was then officially Austin James YuYang. We are finished with the Chinese side of the adoption. We go back on Friday to pick up his passport and travel to Guangzhou to finish the USA side. We are beyond excited. We left the adoption office and headed to Carrefour market. It is like Walmart. We had to buy Austin shoes. We did not know what size to bring and what he came to us in are falling apart. We actually lost one trying to carry him to finalize today. We bought him new shoes and a new sippy cup. We cannot get him to take the bottle. He has decided he is a big boy. He has started walking today as long as Daddy holds his hands. He will not let go yet. Trust is building. As a matter of fact at the adoption office, one of the orphange caregivers reached out to hold him and he cuddled up to Daddy and shook his head NO. He has accepted us as Mama and Daddy. He wants us close by. We are thanking God today as we can feel the blessings. We thank you all for the prayers. Austin is doing beautifully. Photos will be in a separate post as attaching them to the regular posts does not work. The internet connection we have is so slow it cannot handle it. Photos from today will be posted soon.
